Discover the works of Anne Paulus.
The visual artist Anne Paulus lives and works near Paris (France). After training in science and an initial career as an engineer, she graduated from the École des Beaux-arts de Versailles in 2003 (engraving section). Since then she has continued to develop her research and open up her artistic horizons, which have been sharpened by her travels in Asia. Her work is profound, rich and protean, at the crossroads of printmaking, artist's books and ceramic sculpture.
Her work has been shown in numerous solo and group exhibitions in France and abroad (Japan, Korea, Spain, United States, etc.).
Her work can be found in public collections such as the BnF, the prints collection of the Institut de France, the artists' books collection of the Quimper Media Library, the Roanne Media Library and the Lausanne University Library... Her work has won several awards.
Publications such as Art et Métiers du Livre n° 324 (2018), the catalogues Sons noirs (2015), Nova descriptio and Underscape (2021) published by GSB, and the films by Benoît Falize (2015 and 2021) have promoted his work.
As part of the missions of Terre d'estampes, Graver Maintenant and Manifestampe-Fédération nationale de l'estampe, Anne Paulus has given concrete expression to her commitment to the dissemination and promotion of contemporary printmaking in France by curating several major events (Estampe dans la ville in Dreux in 2013, Estampe, unique et multiple in Rueil-Malmaison in 2014, Estampe vivante in Ville d'Avray in 2012-2016, Inshou France-Japon in Paris in 2015, national coordination of the Fête de l'estampe from 2015-2019, Terre d'estampe in Ville d'Avray in 2021).
