If you’re a keen cyclist, don’t miss the chance to climb the Ballon on its winding roads. The Ballon d’Alsace was the first mountain stage to be covered by the Tour de France in 1905.
For those who prefer a gentler approach, a walk to the summit or a sportive hike around the Ballon are ideal options. The Tour du Ballon hike is particularly recommended for discovering the breathtaking panoramas. A total of 7 different routes are signposted from Le Ballon d’Alsace and the surrounding area.
