The village of 18 fountains

The town is famous for its fountains and wash-houses, emblems of the Haute-Saône region, with no fewer than 18 fountains scattered around the commune. Among them, the Fontaine Marianne is listed as a Historic Monument. Located on the Place de la Libération, this fountain, topped by a bust of Marianne, is the oldest public representation of the Republic in France. It symbolises Jussey’s transition to a republican commune following the French Revolution.
