In kilometres, that’s the length of the Ognon. The river rises at Château-Lambert on the southern slopes of the Vosges mountains. It flows through Haute-Saône, and the second half of its course forms the border with neighbouring Doubs and Jura. Its last few kilometres flow into the Côte-d’Or. 166 km can be travelled by canoe or kayak from Les Aynans, 47 km downstream from its source. A further six kilometres can be added to this journey, including the loop on the Saône and the trip up the Petit Ognon to Perrigny.
