On board l'Audacieux

The boat is an exception on the Saône, offering “two types of cruise,” explains Muriel Michel, “a walk or a meal”. With her brother Antoine, she is the worthy representative of a family of boatmen who build their own vessels in a Franco-Swiss shipyard.

“Our customers expect a cruise to offer them peace and quiet. The Saône is an easy river, very pleasant to navigate”. The nature of the cruise is quite different from that of self-guided cruising, but it does include some of the same aspects: passing through locks, discovering wildlife and heritage, etc., with commentary by Raymond and Antoine, the two captains of the Vedettes du Val de Saône.

It also reveals unexpected aspects.
“In people’s minds, a meal cruise is like going out to a restaurant, with an unbeatable advantage: when you look out of the window, the scenery changes all the time!
