2025 promises to be an exceptional year for the Vosges du Sud, with three major anniversaries. The La Rochère glassworks, the Notre-Dame du Haut chapel in Ronchamp and the La Planche des Belles Filles ski resort will be celebrating their 550th, 70th and 50th anniversaries respectively. These celebrations offer a great opportunity to discover or rediscover these emblematic sites of the region.

La Rochère : 550 years of expertise

The La Rochère glassworks, located in Passavant-la-Rochère in Haute-Saône, is the oldest art glassworks still in operation in France. For over five centuries, it has been perpetuating its unique craftsmanship. La Rochère has succeeded in combining tradition and innovation, constantly creating new shapes and designs to bring this magical material, glass, to life.

      For its 550th anniversary, the glassworks is planning a series of special events that will allow visitors to delve into the fascinating history of this age-old art and discover the techniques involved in glassmaking.

      The chapel at Ronchamp 70 years of revolutionary architecture

      Designed by Le Corbusier and completed in 1955, the Notre-Dame du Haut chapel in Ronchamp is a masterpiece of modern architecture that will celebrate its 70th anniversary in 2025. The building revolutionised sacred architecture with its bold design and unique play of light. Its asymmetrical plan, curved walls and crab-shell roof make it a work of art in its own right.

        La Planche des Belles Filles : 50 years of winter and summer sports

        The resort of La Planche des Belles Filles, which became famous thanks to the Tour de France, will celebrate its half-century of existence in 2025. To mark this anniversary, the resort is organising two major events: a soapbox race on 18 May and a gourmet walk on 22 June.

        These festivities will highlight not only the history of the resort, but also its sporting activities and local gastronomy. Visitors will be able to enjoy festive entertainment, taste specialities such as Griottines from Distilleries Peureux, and discover Velleminfroy water.
