The old cemetery of Melecey developed around the church wich was destroyed at the beginning of the 20th century. Situated on a hill near the village, the cemetery has not been used since the IWW for sanitary reasons (run of waters). Since, very few tombs were moved, the cast iron and wrough iron crosses from the Fallon foundy were preserved.
