The iron festival in Baignes on Saturday 8 November will be an opportunity to get to know the iron and steel industry from prehistoric times. From 4pm onwards, you can watch how a blast furnace works, while enjoying a wide range of local produce. Then you can watch the iron being extracted and refined by the blacksmiths from the "Marteaux de Mailley". Children will be given a booklet to help them understand this ancient process. Fireworks around 8pm
