Starting point : MARNAY The Boucle des Vieilles Vignes (n°19) lies between the Ognon valley and the Monts de Gy. Passing through old wine-growing villages will give you an idea of what life was like in days gone by. Vines have never been abandoned and the Charcenne vineyard is renowned (40 ha of vines and 250,000 bottles sold annually!). From the hillsides, head down to the market town of Marnay (Cité de caractère Bourgogne-Franche-Comté) to discover the old town and the banks of the river...
Starting point : MARNAY The Boucle des Vieilles Vignes (n°19) lies between the Ognon valley and the Monts de Gy. Passing through old wine-growing villages will give you an idea of what life was like in days gone by. Vines have never been abandoned and the Charcenne vineyard is renowned (40 ha of vines and 250,000 bottles sold annually!). From the hillsides, head down to the market town of Marnay (Cité de caractère Bourgogne-Franche-Comté) to discover the old town and the banks of the river Ognon, which are open to bathing in summer. At Valay, you'll come across the Boucle des Forges (No. 17).
