The construction of the Castle of Filain goes back up to the end of the XIVth century. It was a classic building lined with four round towers, defended by murderesses and ditches.
This work is completed in the course of the XVIth century, by a construction of type revival. The facade is decorated at the south by two square towers which announce the style Henri IV.
