The former hayloft of this Comtoise farmhouse, renovated using exclusively eco-friendly materials, opens onto a natural garden. The house comprises a separate bedroom, a comfortable living room with a sitting area arranged around a wood-burning stove, a dining area and an alcove with a double bed. A kitchen, bathroom with shower and separate toilet complete the accommodation.
There is a covered terrace for sitting in the shade, and other nooks and crannies in the grounds offer romantic spots for lunching, grilling or strolling. The view stretches far out over the neighbouring meadows and ponds. There are plenty of varied walking and cycling trails (with very little traffic). You will be at an altitude of 700 metres, 1 km from the village, under a night sky where the Milky Way is omnipresent and in absolute peace and quiet. The house is not equipped with TV or Wi-Fi, but 4G connections are possible and so is digital detox.
The region boasts more than 1,000 ponds, and is also known as Little Finland, given the authenticity and preservation of its landscapes and natural environment. You can fish for the day at Etang le Juge (5 minutes' walk from the house), swim in the river at Melisey, visit ecomuseums, visit hamlets lost between meadows and forests, and enjoy small country bistros. Everything here is magical for humans and their companions!
