The Baume Noire walking trail, signposted with yellow rings, starts from the Fourouze car park near the ponds. It covers a distance of 14.5 km and is made up of fairly steep ascents and descents. This route is recommended for regular hikers.

It first crosses the fitness trail and runs alongside the Dhuys stream. Then head for the wooded hills to reach the heights and follow the ridge, before descending to a hunting hut and returning to the heights along another woodland path.
To reach the other mountain on the other side of the road, walk along the side of the road and then climb to the top of the mountain where you will find the Baume Noire cave, now a Regional Nature Reserve for chiropterans. Do not enter the cave!
After passing through a forest with very poor soil, you descend to the valley and climb back up on the other side to take a small path on the hillside that leads you to the place known as "la Dame de Piparon", before descending quietly to the village.
