Is it a good idea to want to pick up the pieces of the past? When Mam and Lily decide to marry after years together, it suddenly becomes unthinkable for Mam not to involve her oldest friend Thomas in the happiest day of her life.
friend Thomas on the happiest day of her life. And this despite years of falling out over trifles, he thinks. So, to seal their reunion and rediscover the beautiful moments of complicity they shared in the past, what better way than to organise a meal at home? Tom already knows Lily, so she'll be happy to see him again. Will she? The only unknown
is Thomas's new (and young) girlfriend. But if Thomas has chosen her, Mam is sure she'll fit in well with the group...
We laugh at the trials and tribulations of these forty-somethings, barely out of their teens and full of questions, caught up in their past, their resentments and their happiness.
It's not nice to make fun, but you can't help laughing, and frankly, it feels so good!
