A talk by Zoé Skrzypczak from the Musée Garret in Vesoul on the Haut-Saône artist Jean Léon Gérôme (Vesoul 1824-Paris 1904). This general presentation of Gérôme's biographical and cultural career is intended to shed light on and explore in greater depth the show that will be dedicated to him at the Théâtre de Gray by Odile Collinet and the Théâtre EnVie company on Saturday 31 January, as a form of preview and anticipation of the pleasure of discovering or rediscovering him through the magic of theatre and the stage. Gérôme and his students were asked by Gray Town Council to help rebuild the Gray Museum on the château site in the 1900s.
