Sainte-Marie-Madeleine church in Grandecourt, built in the 12th century, is one of the religious jewels of the 4 Rivières region. It is the only homogeneous Romanesque church in the Haute-Saône department. In 1142, Nardin, 1st abbot of Montbenoît founded the former Augustinian priory here. It is a long rectangular building housing one of the 4 crypts in Franche-Comté and the only one in Haute-Saône. A quadrangle of identical dimensions to the sanctuary, to which it is linked by an axial staircase, it has four round columns supporting nine cross vaults. The small, simple altar is set beneath a semicircular window framed by two oculi. Its two gilded wooden statues include Saint Mary Magdalene. Near the building, there is a beautiful pilastered wash-house.
