Maurice Mérand opens the doors of his jewellery and watchmaking shop in Gray (70 Haute-Saône, Franche-Comté). Coming from a family with a passion for watchmaking, in particular his grandfather, it is therefore quite natural that from 1980 to 1984, Maurice Mérand followed a watchmaking training course in Morteau and then worked in a shop in Gray, before setting up his own business.
