The Pothey cross is a calvary made of pierced stones. The pierced stone was very fashionable in the region at the time and there were large quantities in the woods of Frettes.
It was made by Robert and Jean Meurey in 1966. It replaces an old calvary with a cast iron cross broken during the felling of a lime tree in 1965. It was inaugurated on August 15, 1966 in the presence of the bishop of Langres, the abbot Moreau de Genevrières and the mayor of Frettes at the time, André Mille.
