Around ten kilometres from the town of Lure lies the peaceful village of Arpenans, which occupies a hilly forested area below Mont Gédry (416 metres), the highest point in the commune. The church is the starting point for a two-kilometre walk up to this hill, which offers a magnificent view of the foothills of the Vosges mountains!
