Vergers de Rioz covers just over ten hectares. The produce includes apples, pears, mirabelles, prunes (known here as 'quetsches'), cherries and strawberries. Strawberries, cherries and apples are picked on certain mornings on a self-service basis, but are also sold in the farm shop, along with apple juice and sparkling apple wine. Just next door, the Costille family is developing a nursery business with fruit trees, berries, flowering shrubs, etc.
