For most of us, the name orchid conjures up images of strange flowers from faraway lands. However, in France and in our region, orchids grow wild in the countryside, among the grasses that are familiar to us. Although less majestic than their exotic sisters, our orchids nevertheless rival them in terms of colour, shape and sometimes fragrance.
