This walk, which is emblematic of the Villersexel region, can be done over half a day (short loop) or a full day (long loop). It is particularly enjoyable during the mirabelle blossom season towards the end of April. In mid-August, you can stop off at local producers to stock up on mirabelle plums. There are reading and picnic tables along the way. An orientation table on the Motte de Grammont helps you locate the surrounding villages.
This is a discovery trail in its own right: the old Mélecey cemetery, the viewpoint over the Motte de Grammont, the Grande Raie fault and, a few hundred metres along the way, the old Fallon foundry and the old Mélecey saltworks. There is also a short loop option (6 km/easy level).
UPDATE 2025: Following forestry work, the route of this walk has been modified for the whole year. Access to the old Mélecey cemetery and the Motte de Grammont is forbidden.
The itinerary has been modified, as has the signposting on site.
The topoguide is available on the website under "our brochures" or directly from the Tourist Office.
