This walk is in the southern part of the Champagney commune, in the hamlet of Sous les Chênes. This pleasant trail will allow you to admire the flora and water resources of the area. It won't be long before you notice the red earth that comes from the clay and degraded sandstone of the Permian age.

The path alternates between a variety of deciduous trees (beech, alder, birch and oak) and coniferous trees. You will also find numerous ferns and a wide variety of wild flowers (white foxgloves, wood violets, yellow lamiers, sweet-smelling gaillets).
Historically, this area was heavily cultivated, particularly in the last century.
The route will also take you past some well-maintained ponds, in relatively shady spots that are very pleasant on a sunny day.
