Guided walk of around 3.6 km.
During the medieval period, monks and nuns developed a particular conception of nature, seen as a divine work full of secrets and magic. From the Irish Saint Fiacre to Albert the Great, not forgetting Hildegard of Bingen, many monks and nuns took an interest in flora and fauna, often writing fascinating manuscripts on the subject, some of which have survived to the present day. This outing takes participants on a journey of discovery into this mysterious world. As we wander through the Banney forest and its fountains, once frequented by the monks of the Abbey of Saint Colomban, we'll be looking at the plants and animals in a whole new light, revealing the legends and beliefs that surrounded them in the past. of the Middle Ages.
