Winner of the Grand Prix du Théâtre 2021, "La Force du Coquelicot" is a work full of life and poetry.

Somewhere, in the middle of nowhere. A hairpin bend in a street going downhill. At the side of the road: a cliff. A remnant of a protective railing on the ground, useless. Only a wide grassy median separates the road from the void.
A few large stones. The view is magnificent. A woman is curled up on the ground. A bicycle overturned and twisted a few metres from her, the wheels still spinning... A man at her side is trying to get her up...
When a bond with others helps to break the solitude of burn-out and rediscover access to joy. Opening up to difference, to the emotion that awakens a taste for things. Overcoming our fears and wounds to rekindle our vitality.
Winner of the Grand Prix du Théâtre 2021, "La Force du Coquelicot" is a play full of life and poetry.
Incredibly powerful, it makes us want to breathe, to shout that we're alive and kicking.
A necessary boost in a world that is gradually suffocating between the need for efficiency and the loss of joie de vivre.
