Théâtre : Velouté

A touch of cream in a simple soup adds a creaminess and sweetness that make it a velouté. But it's still a soup. Under the glove, the iron fist. Under the friendly exterior, a monster.
Starting with a classic and sympathetic job interview, a strange relationship develops between the recruit and the recruiter.
Based on a chiselled text by Victor Haïm, the director has woven a garment of light into this show where the plant meets the animal. The velouté served in a porcelain soup tureen still has the burnt taste inherited from the saucepan. And then there's that annoying insect that goes round and round, exciting both taste buds and minds.
This is contemporary theatre of the highest quality, with careful lighting and every detail designed to give these human relationships a jubilant theatrical dimension.
In the arena, can the bull end up skewering the toreador?
