Night-time visit to the Le Corbusier Chapel in Ronchamp.
On Bourlémont hill, Le Corbusier's iconic chapel stands like a sculpture. A masterpiece of modern architecture, it has attracted lovers of art, architecture and heritage for decades.
Built after the Second World War, the chapel was conceived by Le Corbusier as a place of meditation and contemplation, far removed from traditional architectural conventions.
During the summer, the mediation team offers guided evening tours after the site has closed. When night falls, the chapel takes on a whole new look: the light reveals the shapes and volumes in a different way. Accompanied by an interpreter, you are invited to discover the history of the site, Le Corbusier's bold choices and the sometimes hidden symbols that populate the space.
The tour is for everyone: the curious, families, architecture enthusiasts and the simply contemplative.
The mediation team will share anecdotes and secrets with you.
The night-time visit also offers a rare moment of calm and intimacy. The hill is silent, and the contrast between darkness and light highlights the architecture in a striking way.
