Description
The term ‘Tataki Zomé’ comes from the Japanese words ‘tataki’, meaning ‘to hammer’, and ‘zomé’, meaning ‘to dye’; it is a process of hammering plant material to reveal its imprint on a chosen surface.
Taking inspiration from Charlotte Moth’s work featured in the exhibition, we invite you to come and discover and try your hand at the Tataki Zomé technique of plant printing. We are offering a two-hour workshop where young and old alike are invited to discover eco-art and an age-old tradition that lies halfway between art and craft.
You’ll go home with your own print on fabric!
