Exposition Itinérante « Les forêts publiques de Bourgogne Franche-Comté face aux changements climatiques »

The Val de Gray Tourist Office is hosting a travelling exhibition from the afternoon of 14 September until the morning of 30 September; local residents are invited to come and see it. Comprising 10 panels, each addressing a different topic, this exhibition highlights the challenges facing the region’s forests in the context of climate change. On each panel, visitors will find concise information, guided by an oak jay – the exhibition’s mascot – which delivers an educational message throughout the exhibition. This exhibition offers an opportunity to assess the role of elected representatives in decisions regarding the management and conservation of forest resources, in collaboration with the ONF, which implements these measures. It explores the causes of climate change, its effects on trees – using data specific to our region – and the challenges facing our region’s forests. It is the result of a collaboration between the Communes forestières de Bourgogne-Franche-Comté and the National Forestry Office (ONF). It demonstrates their shared commitment to raising awareness of the impact of climate change on public forests and the initial strategies being implemented to adapt tree species and promote the resilience of ecosystems.
