Programme for 20 September 2026: - Voies navigables de France (VNF) is offering a free tour of the Champagney dam and reservoir, subject to booking. Make the most of this unique opportunity to visit part of the dam, including a tour of the crest with technical and historical commentary (for safety reasons, no tours of the interior are planned). During the tour, you’ll discover the full history of this major structure and how VNF manages its operation today. Guided by VNF staff, you will gain a full understanding of how this structure works and its purpose – the vital role it has played for over 80 years: to bolster the water supply to the Rhône-Rhine Canal, which runs through the Haut-Rhin, the Territoire de Belfort and the Doubs. **Practical information:** Duration of the tour: 45 mins Tours depart at 9.00 am, 9.30 am, 10.00 am, 10.30 am, 11.00 am, 2.00 pm, 2.30 pm, 3.00 pm, 3.30 pm and 4 pm, in groups of up to 10 people.
