Description
Traversées: 5 concerts with David Haroutunian (violin) and Iris Torossian (harp), from 4 to 8 July 2026 in Haute-Saône
Since 2012, Le Rendez-vous has been bringing not-so-classical music to life in the heart of the villages of Haute-Saône, with a simple conviction: to make art accessible to everyone, everywhere and for everyone.
For its 15th edition, from 29 June to 8 July 2026, the festival invites the public on a musical journey entitled Traversées. Through the encounter between violinist David Haroutunian and harpist Iris Torossian, this year's festival will explore the notion of borders: those that separate peoples and cultures, but also those that can be crossed through music.
Bolstered by their dual Armenian and French roots, the two artists will present a programme featuring a dialogue between the works of Komitas, Claude Debussy and Aram Khatchatourian. With songs inspired by Armenian folklore, emblematic pages from the French repertoire and music steeped in memory and transmission, Traversées celebrates exchanges, cross-fertilisation and the richness of cultural heritage.
As every year, five concerts will be given in the churches of Saint-Barthélemy, Neurey-lès-la-Demie, Anjeux, Lavoncourt and Jonvelle, in venues chosen for their acoustics and conviviality. At the end of each performance, artists and audience members will gather for the traditional "verre de l'amitié", a special opportunity to meet and exchange ideas.
With Traversées, Les Rendez-vous is reaffirming its ambition to make every concert a space for discovery, sharing and openness, where music transforms borders into bridges between cultures.
