The La Tempête ensemble returns with a new programme, to be performed in Luxeuil-les-Bains, then in Besançon.
The charismatic Simon-Pierre Bestion has chosen to alternate pieces from the Renaissance (Byrd, Lassus, Tallis…) with contemporary works (Nystedt, Pärt), crafting a meditative journey, a quest for spirituality, but also a
tribute to these creations driven by instinct and free expression.
Punctuating this programme, the five movements of Frank Martin’s *La Messe à double chœur*, one of the pinnacles of vocal art, feature a double a cappella choir, combining great technical demands with an extremely uninhibited fervour.
