Description
The Gy Fire Brigade will be opening its doors to the public on Saturday 13 June 2026 from 3pm. This friendly day will provide an opportunity to discover the world of firefighters, their missions and their equipment through a number of activities. Visitors will be able to get up close to fire engines, watch an extrication demonstration at 5pm, take part in a sports course for children or try their luck in the best drawing competition. An introduction to lifesaving techniques will also be on offer throughout the afternoon. The presence of the mascot Marcus will add a touch of fun that will be much appreciated by the youngest visitors. Pancakes, waffles and drinks will be available on site, before the evening continues with tarts flambées and live music. The event is free and open to all, ideal for sharing a warm moment and discovering the daily life of Gy's firefighters.
