Description
Listed site, late 19th century, with arbours, grotto, winter garden, collection greenhouses and windmill mechanism.
A listed late 19th-century site with arbours, grotto, winter garden, collection greenhouses and windmill mechanism. The paths have been redesigned, the staircase leading to the orangery recreated, the pathways redone and the water channelled into an English river, ending its course in the pool and grotto. Gutters and downpipes have been recreated, and the benches restored to their original condition. Discreet lighting markers make it easy to walk from the cemetery into the centre, even in the low season. The existing trees have been pampered, and shrub and fruit beds recreated. Its ginko biloba tree was chosen as one of 18 "remarkable trees" in 2017, and was photographed in the magazine "Terre sauvage".
