Description

ADP3P guided tour: Combeaufontaine No booking required. Admission: €2. Meet in front of the church at 2.30 pm.
A visit to Combeaufontaine means encountering the many historical relics that have left their mark on this village, particularly since the Revolution – whether it be the passage of the ‘three emperors’ on their way to sign a treaty of alliance at Chaumont in 1814, evidence of technological developments: aviation, the railway (the ‘tacot’), the motor car, right up to the Second World War with its tragedies, its casualties and the successes of the Resistance. Monuments and their stories, along with their anecdotes, punctuate the tour: the statue of the Virgin Mary, the wash house, the church, the station, the town hall… all of which give this charming little town a spirit that is still very much alive. No booking required; admission €2 Meet in front of the church at 2.30 pm
